EXPOSED | 17 and 18th of February Lausanne
The fact that there is constant light in our cities is hardly unsettling, yet some aspects of that seemingly minor phenomenon trigger a few questions: If we can see everything, what room is there for mystery? Are there any grey areas that can still trigger our imaginations? Beyond the scientific proof and the need to always know what hides at the bottom of the ocean (for instance) or behind such and such a phenomenon, there is a darkness that fuels the imagination and evokes sensations of fear, anxiety, calm, awakening of the senses (sight excluded), loss of bearings and loss of control… Darkness awakens our senses, our ‘animal self’. But is there still room for that self?
